Clients

Families

Working alongside family to advance the causes you care about can be complicated. Even amongst the closest knit groups, family philanthropy almost always involves a variety of personalities, priorities, and questions that can span generations and geographies.

At JH Philanthropy we bring families together to achieve purpose-driven impact. Some families we work with are brand new to philanthropy and still figuring out their giving vehicle. Others are established philanthropists looking to refine their strategy or scale impact.

With a human-centered approach, we guide our clients in a way that builds a lasting, meaningful legacy and helps them experience the deep joy that comes with effective giving.

Foundations

We work with both new and established foundations to bring clarity, structure, and purpose to their giving practices. Whether your foundation is just getting started or four generations deep, we help you align family and board values with social impact and show up in ways that build sustainable change.

Taking a rigorous yet deeply joyful approach, we lean in to understand and incorporate the perspectives of your family, Board, and foundation leadership. We effectively identify root causes of any bottlenecks hampering results, uncover new ways to maximize effectiveness, and build opportunities to spark lifelong passion in the next generation.

Corporate
Giving

Today’s top companies run corporate foundations that employ best practices and utilize giving strategies that delight, excite, and retain their best employees.

We specialize in helping companies find the right balance between philanthropic activities that motivate employees, demonstrate good corporate citizenship, and impact the areas where your employees and customers live.

Many of the businesses we work with are leanly staffed or have volunteer-led corporate foundations. The majority are privately-held or family-owned. All are seeking to become more effective in their corporate giving.

Philanthropy
Executives

JH Philanthropy’s CEO Julie Hoffmann works one-on-one with select philanthropists and executives to provide transformational leadership coaching and help them come into their own as inspirational stewards of their clients’ or family’s wealth.

Taking on only a limited number of clients in order to offer the highest-caliber coaching, Julie custom tailors her approach to help her clients work through the challenges that keep them up at night and uncover practical solutions to their pressing dilemmas.

If you are looking to maximize your effectiveness, lead your team through a transition, or strengthen your engagement with and stewardship of your trustees, our coaching may be right for you.
