Katie keeps JH Philanthropy running smoothly. As Executive Operations Manager, she serves as a key partner to the CEO and leads internal operations, scheduling, and project logistics across client engagements. She also manages systems that support consultant collaboration, team communication, and day-to-day workflow.

Katie brings strong experience in project coordination and administrative leadership, with a background in civic engagement and nonprofit service.   

Before joining JH Philanthropy in 2024, Katie worked in event operations at the National Restaurant Association Show, managed by Informa Connect. At the Restaurant Show, Katie managed operations for the Show’s exhibitors. Katie has also held programmatic and administrative positions at The Alford Group and the Multicultural Leadership Program. 

Katie has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, after which she spent nearly a decade as a staff member. Her most recent role at ISU was as Communication Specialist for the University College department. 

A servant leader and dedicated volunteer, Katie has contributed her time and talents to numerous community initiatives, consistently demonstrating her commitment to helping others. Due to her prior community leadership, Katie has been nominated for the YWCA Women of Distinction award and has been recognized as one of McLean County’s 20 under 40. She is also a recipient of Illinois State University’s Redbird Proud Young Alumni award. 

Katie is an active volunteer with her local food pantry, The Friendship Center, and regularly supports Chicago Event Management’s annual Shamrock Shuffle, 13.1, and Chicago Marathon races as a member of the Sustainability team. When not volunteering in the community, Katie enjoys reading, knitting, and exploring all that Chicago has to offer.
