LaTanya Gatewood is a dedicated strategic leader and seasoned nonprofit professional with over 20 years of experience driving organizational excellence and fulfilling mission. As a Philanthropy Advisor with JH Philanthropy, she leverages this deep expertise to help clients navigate the complexities of charitable giving, ensuring that their passion and mission coalesce into measurable, high-impact change. 

Before joining JH Philanthropy, LaTanya served as the Annual Fund Manager for Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. She was responsible for overseeing the Girl Scouts’ annual giving campaigns, endurance race fundraising, and the Inspired donor newsletter. 

Throughout her career in the non-profit sector, LaTanya has fostered sustainable growth across various disciplines, including strong program development, effective volunteer management, successful event planning, and fundraising initiatives. She is a natural connector and builder, skilled at forming vital partnerships and creating scalable, resilient organizational structures.

LaTanya holds a master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in child development from Michigan State University. 

She shares life with her husband, Eugene, and their son, Micah. Active in her church, LaTanya serves as Social Impact Director and Women’s Conference Leader. She and Eugene are embracing empty nesting and co-host the podcast W.E.3 The Winning Team, where they explore meaningful conversations on marriage, family, and “winning together.”
